Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 17, 2026. Cookie choices separate necessary, functional, analytics and marketing signals so website preferences can be checked later.

This Cookie Policy explains how Tillzen Systems, Inc. ("Tillzen," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit tillzen.ca or use our platform. Read this with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved on your computer, tablet, or phone when you visit a website. They help websites work, remember choices and show site owners how the site is used.
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as:
- Web beacons (pixel tags): Small transparent images embedded in emails or web pages that track whether content has been accessed.
- Local storage: Data stored in your browser after you leave, used to remember choices and improve performance.
- Session storage: Temporary data stored in your browser that is cleared when you close the browser tab.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are needed for the Service to work. They help with login, sessions and security. Without them, the Service cannot operate.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| tz_session | Maintains your authenticated session | Session |
| tz_csrf | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
| tz_tenant | Identifies your organization for multi-tenant routing | Session |
Functional Cookies
These cookies remember choices like preferences, display settings and recently used features.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| tz_prefs | Stores dashboard layout and display preferences | 6 months |
| tz_locale | Remembers your language and timezone settings | 12 months |
| tz_recent | Tracks recently viewed locations and reports | 30 days |
Analytics Signals
Our public website uses privacy-focused analytics to understand page views, traffic sources and basic engagement. The current website analytics implementation does not set Google Analytics or Mixpanel cookies.
| Signal | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | Measures anonymous page views, referrers, device type, browser, country and basic site performance. | Aggregated reporting window |
| Daily visitor hash | Helps count unique visitors without using cross-site tracking cookies. | Resets daily |
| marketing_cta_click | Counts non-PII clicks on public calls to action, such as the source page and target path. | Aggregated reporting window |
| lead_form_outcome | Counts non-PII public form success or error events to detect conversion issues. | Aggregated reporting window |
Marketing Cookies
The current public website does not set advertising pixels or remarketing cookies. If we enable paid campaign measurement later, we will update this policy and any consent controls before those tags are used.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| None now set | No public-site advertising cookie is now deployed by Tillzen. | Not applicable |
3. How to Manage Cookies
You have several options for managing cookies:
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options under "Privacy," "Security," or "Cookies" in your browser's preferences. Common browser cookie management guides:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions
Opt-Out of Analytics
The current public-site analytics implementation does not rely on analytics cookies. You can still limit analytics requests by using browser privacy settings, content blockers, or network controls that block analytics scripts.
Opt-Out of Marketing Cookies
You can manage your preferences for targeted advertising through:
- Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (DAAC): youradchoices.ca
- Digital Advertising Alliance (U.S.): youradchoices.com/control
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.eu
Please note: Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly. Blocking functional cookies may degrade your user experience. Blocking analytics requests does not affect core Service functionality.
4. Cookie Consent
The current checked public website does not set advertising cookies, Google Analytics cookies, Meta Pixel cookies, or a cookie-consent preference cookie. It uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is documented as operating without cookies.
If a future product area enables optional analytics, advertising, or similar non-essential cookies, Tillzen must add the required consent or opt-out controls before those cookies run. You can also limit cookies through browser settings or contact privacy@tillzen.com.
Strictly necessary cookies used by authenticated product areas do not require consent where they are essential for the Service to function.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. There is now no universally accepted standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. At this time, we do not respond to DNT signals, but we respect your cookie preferences as set through our consent mechanism.
Some privacy laws also recognize opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for sale or sharing opt-outs. The current checked public website implementation does not include advertising pixels or cross-context behavioral advertising tags. If those tools are added later, Tillzen must update this policy, the Privacy Policy and the required consent or opt-out handling before those tags run.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some website or platform features may rely on third-party services. We do not control how these third parties handle their own cookies or similar technologies. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of the following third-party services where applicable:
- Vercel Web Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics Documentation
- Stripe: Stripe Privacy Policy
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. We will post the updated policy on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the website, product notices, consent controls where applicable, or by email.
